Fire fighters battle to put off Marina Blue Rail fire outbreak
A combined team of firefighters from both the federal and state fire stations had a herculean task putting off the fire that erupted at the newly commissioned Blue Rail Mass Transit terminal at Marina, Lagos state before it could spread to other sections.
The incident which occurred on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, had caused people to take to their heels, causing a stampede.
Many people has mistaken the fire incident as an explosion and scampered for safety. But reports said that the fire affected only the section that housed a generator used in the facility. No life was lost and no one was injured, as the fire was quickly put out by the fire fighters.
