Volvo XC90: what you need to know
The Volvo XC90 was launched in 2015, and restyled at the beginning of 2019.
The Swedish SUV remains very homogeneous, enjoying a modern facies and an original light signature.
Volvo’s technological showcase, the statutory XC90 innovated when it was launched, with an impressive security arsenal in 2015.
Five years later, this endowment has become common in the world of high-end, but the Volvo remains on the page, with autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, 360 ° camera and adaptive cruise control with traffic jam function.
Compared to some of its rivals, the Swedish, which generates remarkable comfort, has three individual rear seats and can boast of carrying up to 7 people in certain configurations.
Quality of materials, precision of assemblies, character of presentation, the XC90 has always proved welcoming and flattering.
It is systematically sold with four-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Under the hood, only two four-cylinder engines are offered: a 235-hp “micro-hybridized” diesel, dubbed B5 with alternator-starter and kinetic energy recovery system, and a T8 hybrid-rechargeable version combining a 2.0 liters of 303 hp petrol with an 88 hp electric motor.
Its battery allows it to travel up to 41 kilometers in 100% electric mode, according to the WLTP cycle, before requesting the thermal block.
