NADDC DG bags NiMechE honorary fellowship award
The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, an arm of the Nigerian Society of Engineers recently honoured Jelani Aliyu, director-general, National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) with NIMechE honourary fellowship at the NADDC Headquarters Abuja.
Chairman, board of fellow l Oluwatoyin Ashiru, an engineer and a professor,cFNSE, FNIMeche, FAEng, said the conferement was a higher calling to excellence in what the the NADDC boss knows how to do best in the service of our dear nation.
National chairman of the institution, Olufunmilade Akingbabohun, an engineer FNSE, FNIMechE who formally honoured Jelani with the award, congratulated the Barde of Sokoto, saying the honour is well deserved having distinguished himself in various fields of human endeavour particularly in the Nigeria Automotive Industry and other developments on engineering technology.
The chairman also implored and urged Jelani to continue to contribute with his outstanding wealth of experience and knowledge to the betterment of Nigeri
The recipient is a Global Icon who is not just an automotive/industrial designer but also an architectural conceptualist, technology and environmental sustainability proponent, and a dedicated mentor to the Nigerian youths.
