Eide-el-Kabir: Travellers get extra trip on Thursday Lagos-Ibadan train service

In response to the increased passenger demand during the festive period, authorities of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has added an extra trip to its Lagos- Ibadan Train Service (LITS) for Thursday June 5, 2025.
Apart from the existing 8 a.m. from Lagos to Ibadan, there is additional trip of
1:55 pm apart from the regulatory
4 p.m. train departure schedule.
While there is the usual 8 a.m.lbadan to Lagos and 11.03 a.m. additional trip, the 4:00pm train will now depart at 4:46pm.
Additionally, in the spirit of Eid-al-kabir and to ensure smooth travel for Muslim faithful and other passengers on the Warri-Itakpe corridor, the NRC will operate a Special Train Service on Thursday 5 June, 2025, which would ordinarily be a non- operational day reserved for maintenance.
Consequently, routine maintenance activities originally scheduled for Thursday have been rescheduled to Sunday, June 8, 2025. The normal Abuja to Kaduna (AKTS) will run as scheduled with additional coaches attached to it.
