Anambra Restricts Traffic On Niger Bridge To 7pm
Amid the ravaging Corona virus in Nigeria , the Anambra State government has announce restriction of movement through the Niger bridge to 7pm.
This is coming despite the easing of curfew by the Federal Government from 10pm to 4am.
According to a statement by Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, the Secretary to the Anambra State government, the closure of the bridge by 7pm is due to the closure of the Asaba end of the bridge by the Delta State government for a state-imposed curfew.
The statement partly read
“Anambra State government wishes to inform the public that effective today, Friday 5th June 2020, COVID-19 enforcement and security teams will be restricting traffic onto the Niger Bridge by 7pm until further notice.”
It said that curfew in other parts of Anambra state is still from ten o’clock in the evening to four o’clock in the morning, urging all concerned to take note.
