Production of the new Opel Astra has begun
Opel has announced that production of the Astra has begun at its plant in Russelsheim, Germany. On the occasion, Uwe Hochgeschurtz, CEO of Opel, welcomed Hesse’s Prime Minister Volker Bouffier, Hesse Economy Minister Tarek Al-Wazir and Russelsheim Mayor Udo Bausch to the plant.
To date, about 500 cars of the new Astra have left the factory production line and in the coming months the model will be the cornerstone of the German brand’s electrification operation.
