Photo News: State of Enugu International Airport
The state of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu which was temporarrly closed down by the Federal government for renovation have been revealed
According to a tweet by the Minister for Aviation Hadi Sirika on Monday showed pictures of workers on site and the extent of the renovation thus far.
Sirika said workers have been mobilized to commence work and a new date for the completion of the airport will be announced soon.
“We announce our full remobilization to Enugu despite COVID lockdown. Even with challenges like heavy rains, opening up of quarries and bitumen sources we should complete this procurement in a few weeks. A definite date of completion will be announced at my next site visit.” He tweeted
Recall that FAAN closed the Enugu International airport for safety reasons in August 2019.
