Audi recalls 24,450 plug-in hybrid A3 and Q3. 249 in Greece
German auto manufacturer Audi has recalled 24,450 plug-in hybrid A3 and Q3. 249 in Greece manufactured between January 7, 2020 and February 22, 2022.
Of these, 249 are in our country and the reason is the fact that the safety in the high voltage system may have been produced with insufficient amount of so-called “fire sand”.
In the event of a short circuit in the high voltage system, the fuse will burn as intended and will cut off the power supply, but may break.
In this case, due to the small amount of “fire sand”, a discharge arc could occur inside the vehicle and consequently create a risk of fire and / or risk of injury.
So far no accident related to this issue has been reported. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified in writing to contact their local Authorized Audi Service Partners for an additional protective insulation layer inside the high voltage battery.
For more information or clarifications, owners are kindly requested to contact the Audi Customer Service Department at 210 9981200 from 09.00 – 18.00 daily or by email: customercare@kosmocar.gr.
