Ethiopia accidentally shoots down Kenyan Airplane
The Ethiopian Government have admitted to accidentally shooting down a Kenyan Covid-19 aide airplane killing six people on board.
According to reports, the Embraer EMB 120 airplane was shot down in Bardaale in Somalia thinking it was a potential suicide mission when they intercepted the unusual flight.
The Ethiopian government revealed the crew onboard the flight did not inform the authorities of an aircraft flying into their country.
The accidental shooting of the airplane was blamed on lack of communication and awareness.
“Because of lack of communication and awareness, the aircraft was shot down,”
“The incident was performed by non-Amisom troops of Ethiopia, which will require mutual collaborative investigation team from Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya to further understand the truth,”Ethiopia authorities said
