Dacia sold almost 540,000 cars in 2021
Despite the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the crisis with the lack of electronic components, Dacia announced today that in 2021 it sold 537,095 cars, a number that increased by 3.1% compared to the previous year.
Dacia’s growth can be largely attributed to the popularity of its new range to retail customers. In 2021, Dacia’s market share in the European passenger car retail market reached a record 6.2%, with the Romanian company winning the title of the third largest retailer in Europe for the first time.
Dacia is the leading passenger car brand in France and Romania and in the top 5 in 9 other European markets (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia). In Germany, the brand is in the top 10, with Dacia maintaining its leading position in Morocco.
