Toyota Starlet Cross Up For Grabs At Highly Anticipated Kojo Motors Showpiece In Abuja

The National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) has granted regulatory approval to Kojo Motors Limited to give out a brand new Toyota Starlet Cross as lottery ticket winning star prize. The automotive show of all brands under Kojo Motors group including the Yutong, OMAA and Jetour under the legendary auto dealership in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital from December 3 to 5, 2026 is described by many as very unique with the veteran, dogged and visionary Ikenna Oguegbu as the Chairman and chief executive officer.

Nigeria’s lottery commission approval clears the way for Kojo dealership to conduct a live raffle draw at the event, with participants standing a chance to win other various prizes.

Other mouth watering prizes during the raffle draws include a Hisense 75-inch QLED television, Samsung refrigerator, ScanFrost freezer, Aeon 13KG washing machine and TCL 8KG inverter washing machine.

According to the organisers of the auto show, the raffle has been designed to provide participants with equal and transparent opportunity to win the listed prizes.

The National Lottery Commission stipulates that, the draw must be conducted physically in the presence of designated raffle officials, witnesses and participants or members of the audience.

Under the approved procedure, each eligible participant will be issued a uniquely numbered raffle ticket with the corresponding ticket sturd deposited in the official raffle draw box.

Furthermore, the tickets must be identical in size, appearance and folding method to ensure fairness, while raffle officials will inspect the draw box before the commencement of the exercise.

This is to confirm that it is empty, after which the box and tickets will remain under their control until the conclusion of the draw.
Eigibility of participants and the total number of valid raffle tickets will also be verified and recorded before the draw begins. Raffle boxes and tickets will be displayed to the audience, while officials and witnesses will explain the draw mechanics and confirm that the process is ready to commence.

For each prize, the draw box will be thoroughly mixed before a designated official randomly selects a ticket without looking inside. The selected ticket number will then be announced and displayed for verification, while the identity of the holder will be checked against the official raffle records.

The winning ticket will not be returned to the box, with the process repeated until all six prizes have been awarded.
The approved sequence will begin with the TCL 8kg inverter washing machine, followed by the Aeon 13kg washing machine, ScanFrost freezer, Samsung refrigerator and Hisense 75-inch QLED television, before the Toyota Starlet saloon car is drawn as the grand prize.

The approval also provides for a re-draw where a selected ticket is found to be ineligible, duplicated, invalid, unmatched with official raffle records or belongs to a person prohibited from participating under the applicable rules.

In addition, the recommended rule provides that an individual can win only one prize during the raffle. If a previous winner is selected again, the second ticket will be declared ineligible and another draw conducted.

Winners present at the venue will be required to provide appropriate identification and verification details before collecting their prizes and will also sign a prize winner acknowledgement form confirming receipt.

Where a prize cannot be handed over immediately, the winner will receive a formal prize-collection notification. The grand-prize vehicle will be handed over after completion of applicable documentation and registration or transfer requirements.

The approval by the NLRC is expected to add further credibility and transparency to the promotional activities surrounding the Kojo Motor Show, which is being positioned as a major automotive showcase bringing together vehicle brands, dealers, industry stakeholders and motoring enthusiasts.

With a brand-new Toyota Starlet saloon car headlining the event alongside other household appliances and electronics, the raffle is also expected to generate additional public interests ahead of the 3-day historic show in Abuja.

Beyond being an avenue automotive showcase, there will be other automotive products and services while creating opportunities for interaction between dealerships, manufacturers, customers and other industry stakeholders.
