WMotors brings Jetour Africa Expedition to Lagos

…As T1, T2, G700 go through rigorous test
Jetour WMotors, the official distributor of Jetour vehicles in Nigeria, has brought the 2026 Jetour Africa Expedition to Lagos, putting the T1, T2 and G700 SUVs through a 128km adventure that combined city driving, lifestyle experiences and a rigorous off-road challenge.
A key performance-focused activity designed to demonstrate the power, control, durability, and off-road capability of the Jetour luxury SUVs under real driving conditions, while at the same time projecting Nigeria positively to the rest of the world.

By taking the vehicles through challenging terrain, slopes, bumps, and uneven surfaces, the experience enabled participants to witness Jetour’s capabilities firsthand while positioning the brand around adventure, performance, and reliability.
Taking advantage of a very favourable Sunday morning weather on Sunday, August 9, Jetour WMotors flagged off the expedition in front of its showroom on Adeyemi Alakija Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Jetour Africa Expedition is an international Pan-African lifestyle and adventure initiative created to celebrate exploration, mobility, community and the spirit of adventure across Africa.
The adventure organised in Lagos by Jetour WMotors took participants through Lekki Market, the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, Freedom Park, the National Theatre, Ahmadu Bello Way, Third Mainland Bridge and the Ikorodu off-road circuit, where all the vehicle models underwent a vigorous terrain challenge.
With the challenge, Jetour WMotors showcased the capability, durability and versatility of the Jetour brand through a combination of eight units of the Jetour T1, T2 and G700.
Earlier, before the flag-off, Jetour WMotors had organised a high-energy fitness and mobility warm-up session inside the Jetour showroom, handled by a team from I-Fitness professional fitness trainers.

As part of the journey, the Jetour WMotors team distributed road safety awareness materials to some drivers and other stakeholders along the selected route network, while also distributing items, including bottled water provided by the Bigi brand, to people, including motorists. Refreshments were provided by Frootaz.p
But what could be regarded as the highpoint of the expedition was the performance-driven task in an off-roadin the Ikorodu area, designed to demonstrate the power, control, durability and off-road capabilities of the Jetour fleet under real driving conditions.
By putting the vehicles through challenging terrains, steep slopes, bumps and uneven surfaces, the experience allowed participants to witness Jetour’s capabilities firsthand and position the brand around adventure and performance.
Speaking to participating newsmen on the exercise, Mr Tony Jamal, Managing Director of Jetour WMotors, official distributor of Jetour in Nigeria, said the 2026 Jetour Africa Expedition was designed to showcase the capability, safety, luxury and adventure features of the brand while demonstrating the strength of the Nigerian automotive market.
Jamal said the adventure was part of an international Jetour initiative being held across 12 African countries, with Jetour WMotors selected to organise the experiential event event in Nigeria.
He explained that the expedition was also an opportunity to demonstrate to Jetour manufacturers in China that Nigeria represents a significant market for the brand.
“Jetour is all over Nigeria now. We have a big trust and we have to thank God that Jetour trusts us as the official distributor. The people appreciate our services and our cars come directly from the factory,” he said.
Jamal explained that the routes passed by the Jetour convoy were deliberately selected to expose participants to different aspects of Lagos while demonstrating the versatility of Jetour vehicles.
He was particularly excited about the off-road experience, which, according to him, provided a veritable opportunity for the appropriate Jetour units to demonstrate their well-known capabilities as four-wheel-drive models.
“We also showcased the capacity ofJetour, with the off-road experience of the 4×4 models. They have a 2.0 (turbocharged) engine with Euro 6, that is the most advanced engine, low fuel consumption and high torque. It shows us what Jetour can do,” he said.
The Jetour WMotors Managing Director disclosed that the company had been appointed by Jetour China as its official distributor for Nigeria which naturally conferred on the company the mandate to organise the expedition in the country.
“Jetour China has appointed WMotors as official distributor in Nigeria. Jetour China has the exclusivity for doing this in Nigeria for WMotors. It is obvious and it is known,” he said, hinting that the expedition would be expanded in 2027, with participants expected from China and with a stronger focus on off-road driving.
“It will be a bigger event in 2027 and it will be more than Africa. We are preparing and people will come from China, especially for the off-road experience. Next year, we will also have new models and it will be shown in Jetour WMotors showrooms.”
Beyond the vehicles’ compelling aesthetics, rich safety and luxury features, and their capabilities as demonstrated during the off-road tests, Jamal assured that Jetour WMotors places a high premium on after-sales support, which features a seven-year, unlimited-mileage warranty – a warranty offer which is unprecedented in Nigeria.
The Jetour Africa Expedition commenced in Egypt on July 19, 2026, and brings together 12 African countries, with each participating market contributing its own unique experience to the wider continental journey.
An enduring message from the expedition in Lagos was that the official Jetour distributor in Nigeria, Jetour WMotors, gives customers greater peace of mind through its industry-leading seven-year warranty with unlimited mileage on all models, backed by a robust after-sales package.
