…Commends Lanre Shittu Motors partnership

Frontline Chinese truck manufacturers, JAC International have called on the federal government to sign the Nigeria’s automotive policy into law to boost foreign and local investor confidence.

Making this call over the weekend during his visit to Lanre Shittu Motors JAC trucks assembly plant located along the Apapa-Oshodi expressway in Lagos, Oscar Yu, general manager, JAC International who described LSM as great partners said get that, JAC is willing to support the Nigerian government in developing the Auto sector.

He insisted, that signing the automotive policy into will not only attract many original equipment manufacturers, but will allow for assembly and churning out comparatively cheap brand new trucks that will guarantee returns on investment.

He renewed the readiness of JAC international towards closing the gap between the thriving used vehicles dominance on the Nigerian market, but will also create massive job opportunities. He said that the large number of used vehicles and lack of patronage for locally assembled vehicles is not in thr best interest of the Nigerian economy.

Oscar Yu described Nigeria as a very big market with great potentials for growth of the automotive sector given the country’s large population size of over 200 million people with diverse technical skills competence.

The JAC lnternational boss declared that the truck makers is very happy and excited to have Lanre Shittu Motors as it’s local assembler in Nigeria, adding that every necessary support will be available to support the growth of the partnership. He said JAC is getting results from Lanre Shittu despite the challenges in the local market.

In the words of the Oscar Yu, ‘We take care of our partners, customers and our staff to whom we are strongly committed to. We also believe we have good quality products and spare parts which we believe is the selling point and the most important consideration for customers looking for good quality trucks”.

He promised that JAC is committed to supporting and working closely with Lanre Shittu Motors to promote the JAC trucks brand, and ever willing to providing the company with all necessary technical support and quality parts.

Secondly, “We provide convenience with real and on time support which is very fundamental to pushing and expanding the market for the JAC trucks locally.We are happy and l know that Lanre Shittu Motors is also happy”. He stated.

On his part, Taiwo Shittu , managing director of LSM said that JAC is the only company he has experienced that is willing to give LSM every necessary support in many areas. We have done businesses with others in the past, but l must tell you that

Also speaking, Saheed Shittu, executive director, Lanre Shittu Motors said, that the JAC team’s visit to the company is very strategic and purpose-driven being the first of such historic visit by a top official of a fast growing Chinese truck brand.
He promised that, Lanre Shittu Motors shall at all times maintain that legacies of delivering good automotive product lines to the customers backed by strong after sales service support and genuine parts availability.
