Odiboh becomes full Professor, moves to DELSU Faculty of Communication and Media Studies

Oscar O. Odiboh, PhD has been formally appointed as a full professor, Mass Communication at the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Delta State University.
This appointment brings Professor Odiboh to the apogee of his academic career, after decades of excellent accomplishments both at the advertising industry as a thorough-bred professional and equally distinguished academic career.
He had traversed universities of renown such as the Covenant University and Edo State University until his latest appointment. He now brings his professional and academic excellence to the Delta State University where he will work with other accomplished scholars to take the University to a greater heights.
A SHORT PROFILE OF O. O. ODIBOH
Oscar O. Odiboh is an acclaimed professional with a strong academic drive and a lifetime commitment to the advancement of his students all over the world. He pioneered Marketology as a philosophy of marketing communication and a new area of study globally. He simultaneously taught marketing, mass communication, and advertising as a Visiting Senior Lecturer in three leading Nigerian universities. He is a Reviewer, Editor, Editor-in-Chief, and Member of several high-impact local and international academic journals.
Dr. Odiboh worked at Nigeria’s first advertising agency, Lintas Limited, where he established the country’s first research department in any advertising agency.
He remains a communication consultant to multinational companies such as Chevrolet’s General Motors of the USA and Mitsubishi of Japan, which are represented in Nigeria by CFAO and Kewalrams, etc. He is the foremost resource person, researcher, and author in Nigeria’s automobile industry where he is a multiple awardee as a marketing communication specialist and teacher.
O.O. Odiboh is a country consultant to US-based Percept Global Image and Europe-based OC&C and KEA Associates.
He is an examiner, officer, and member of several professional bodies such as the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), International Advertising Association (IAA), Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), and several others.
Dr. Odiboh is a multiple awardee, both locally and internationally. He is Nigeria’s Best Lecturer of the Year 2020 at the Future Creative Leaders Academy (FCLA) and winner of the Excellence Award as the Top 4% of Nigerian Executives in Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations.
He is a widely travelled researcher and works as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mass Communication at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State.
