25 Lebanese evacuated from Kano tests positive to Covid-19
The ministry of Heath in Lebanon has revealed that 25 Lebanese evacuated from Kano amid the Corona Virus pandemic have tested positive to Corona virus.
According to reports, the Middle East Airline flight ME570 which departed from Kano to Beirut on May 5 had 25 of the passengers positive to Covid-19 increasing the number of cases to 784 with 25 deaths.
“The Ministry of Public Health announces that it has been confirmed that 25 positive cases with COVID-19 were recorded among the passengers on board the flight that arrived from Nigeria.
“Accordingly, the affected cases will be transferred to the hospital with an emphasis on the application of strict domestic quarantine for negative cases, knowing that they will be followed up daily by the Ministry and whoever shows any symptoms will be referred to the hospital for re-examination.” the Ministry said.
Many countries have been repatriating its citizens since the peak of the covid-19 pandemic in April.
