MARAN assures Port Police boss of unbiased reportage

The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) have assured the
Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, of regular and unbiased media coverage, even as the command on its part said it will always support in best ways possible.
These assurances was made by the two parties when MARAN led by its chairman; Godfrey Bivbere and other executives of the association to the Port police command boss.
Speaking during a visit to the Commissioner in Apapa Lagos on Thursday, President of MARAN, Mr Godfrey Bivbere stated that members of MARAN executives were at the Command Headquarters to familiarize themselves and show solidarity with the Commissioner of Police.
While assuring the CP of the association’s support, Mr Bivbere pledged that achievements of the command would be given wide coverage as the command plays a pivotal role in securing the gateway for international trade and foreign exchange earnings for the country.
CP Maikaba on his part commended the oldest maritime journalists beat association for its responsible reportage of the maritime sector and activities of the police command.
CP Maikaba appreciated the warm hands of fellowship extended to him and pledged a cordial working relationship with the association.
